The Motorized XL Awning is identical to the standard Motorized model, except that it offers greater projection (it extends out from your house up to 11 ft. and 8 inches - see details below.) So the XL provides the maximum in coverage, shade, and protection.
These awnings are a "lateral arm" style. The motor operates strong support arms that open and close directly under the awning canopy. No vertical support arms are needed. They are the finest motorized awnings available today, unsurpassed for beauty, convenience, protection, and affordability.

These remarkable awnings give you the same features -- or better -- than other electric awnings costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars more, including a sophisticated dual cable system that needs no vertical supports, plus a reliable SOMFY® motor -- the best in the industry -- hidden inside the awning roller.

Motorized and Motorized XL SunSetter Facts:

·  Remote Control Operation: : Lets you open and close your awning from anywhere, even from inside your home. Remote Control is included with all motorized SunSetter models.

·  Available widths: : Motorized Awning: 8 ft. and 10 to 20 ft, in one-foot increments with our light-weight woven acrylic fabrics (8 ft. and 10 to 18 ft. with our traditional laminated fabrics). Motorized XL Awning: 14 to 20 ft. in one-foot increments.

·  Projection: Our Motorized Model extends out up to 10 feet 2 inches from your house (the 10 and 11 foot wide awnings extend out 9 feet, and the 8 foot wide awning extends out 7 feet). The Motorized XL model extends out a full 11 feet 8 inches from your house. Both models can be partially opened in any position.

·  Fabric and Color choices: Available in two fabric choices:
Woven acrylic fabric in 16 decorator color choices - Available for Motorized and Motorized XL models.
Traditional laminated fabric in 12 color choices - Available for Motorized model only.

·  Minimum vertical height under overhangs needed for installation: 7 ft. 6 in.

·  Can be owner installed: Yes, easily, in just 2 to 3 hours.

·  Can be installed on wood, brick, stucco, aluminum and vinyl siding: Yes.

·  Can be installed directly on eaves and overhangs: To install directly on eaves and overhangs, choose the soffit mount brackets when you order.
Note: The optional Aluminum Hood cannot be used with soffit installations.

·  Requires electricity: The 18-ft. cord plugs into any grounded outlet. You can select your awning with a left or a right motor, depending where your outlet is located. If you have no grounded electrical outlet nearby, you may need to have an electrician install one. We strongly recommend a ground fault interrupter-style outlet.
